Know Your Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is a pressure that experience by the blood on the arteries when the blood is pumping by the heart through the all parts of the body. Blood pressure is made by taking two sizes and usually there are two numbers that will be called by the doctor. For example doctors said 140-90, then the meaning is 140/90 mmHg. The first number (140) shows the upward pressure of the arteries due to pulsation of the heart or when the heart is beating, and it is called the systolic pressure or often called upward pressure. The second number (90) shows the pressure when your heart at rest between the pumping, and it is called diastolic pressure, or often referred as under pressure.
Once you know your blood pressure, you also want to know whether your blood pressure including low, normal or high. You usually perform a physical examination or clinical examination to a doctor, there is usually a special tool that used by a doctor to check the blood pressure. Tools which is use to check the blood pressure is also known sphygmomanometer or also known as Tens meter. There are digital tens meters and there are also mercury tens meter which are commonly used for clinical examination.
The doctor will perform blood pressure checks by telling you to sit or lie down, because it was the best position to measure the blood pressure. Then the doctor usually binding the air bag on the right arm unless the arm had injuries. After that, blood pressure measurements were taken. The difference between systolic and diastolic pressure is called pulse pressure.
