The function of this deodorant is to inhibit sweat channel so that the amount of sweat are less on the armpit area.
One of the materials that are contained in deodorants to prevent excessive sweating is aluminum. These materials can also be found in drinking water or cooking utensils. In last few years, it was widely heard that aluminum in deodorants may be absorbed by the body and contribute to the development of breast cancer on women. Aluminum compounds such as aluminum zirconium and aluminum chloride does contain estrogen that can encourage the growth of breast cancer tissue. There are fears that this aluminum has the same effect when it is absorbed by the skin.
A study which was ever conducted in 2007 by analyzing breast tissue from 17 breast cancer patients by measuring the content of its aluminum. It was found that levels of aluminum on the outer area of the breast near the place that used to get deodorant were in fact higher than other places. But according to the American Cancer Society, so far researchers have not found a distinct relationship between the aluminum from deodorants with breast cancer.
