Benefits of Drinking Tea For Health

A number of studies have shown result that drinking tea is proven can reduce the risk of the body affected by cancer, heart attack, stroke and help us lower the cholesterol in the body. Secret of efficacy of drinking tea was contained in tea leaves that contain substance called flavonoids, an antioxidant substance that can prevent our bodies from cell damage due to free radicals that get into the body (either through respiration, food, or drink which contaminated by pollutant substances, toxic substances that accidentally get into our bodies).

It is strongly recommended to select varieties of tea leaves such as black tea, green tea, or chrysanthemum flower tea and other similar varieties. Tea that packaged in the form of bottled, iced tea or in cartons that are ready to drink usually contains fewer flavonoids, while herbal tea does not contain flavonoids. So we have to be smart to choose the type of tea that we are going to consume, if we are particularly interested on the efficacy of its flavonoid.
