Hernia
Hernia is a protrusion of an organ or other tissue due to abnormal opening inside the body. Most hernias occur when a part of the intestine comes out through weakly abdominal partition, so it looks a bulge that can be felt and be touch.
Hernia can occur at groin area, navel or other parts. There is a hernia that has emerged since was born, there is also develop in terms of months or years, but there is also hernia which is suddenly appear. Hernia can happen because of weakness in the abdominal partition so that other organs like the intestine can be through out.
Actually, it is uncommon for someone to have a weakness in the abdominal partition since was born, usually a weakness in the abdominal area occurred as time gone by or wound from surgery. The pressure from the organ or tissue on a weak abdominal partition is the cause of protruding organs.
Factors that may affect the weakness of abdominal partition are age, smoking and obesity. Hernia can be seen & felt, we usually can feel the existence of hernia from such a lump or swelling around the abdomen or at the groin that may be disappear or still emerge while lying down or when it is get pressed.
We also feel pain, which initially vague, but become more obvious when we are doing activity, and a bump that is getting bigger. If you are experienced inguinal hernia, a common way to find out is to find a lump around the groin, the scrotum usually be enlarged as well.
These lumps are often clearly visible under the skin, and may disappear when you are lying down but will reappear if you’re coughing, sneezing or straining during defecate.
Atherosclerosis
Blockage of blood vessels or can be called Atherosclerosis is the number 1 killer disease in the United States, this disease of blood vessel blockage was responsible for a quarter of all deaths that occurred in the United States. This disease occurs in the arteries, a type of blood vessels that deliver oxygen and nutrients to all organs and tissues (including heart muscles). Atherosclerosis is defined as arterial stiffness as a result of plaque which disrupted the blood circulation.
The danger is, atherosclerosis is a ‘silent disease‘ because it occurs inside the body and hardly detected. In normal condition, arteries like rubber pipes which are elastic, strong and flexible. Starting from the trigger area that has not known for sure, but researchers believe that the blockage process begin with the damage of the artery wall that caused by high cholesterol, smoking, hypertension and others.
In a certain period, cholesterol, calcium and various other substances then accumulate in that area to form plaques. This plaque can piled up, causing blockage of blood vessels. The development of atherosclerosis is influenced by several factors such as high cholesterol, alcohol, smoking, obesity and unhealthy lifestyle.
Prevention is the key to fighting this disease, you should lose your weight if you are overweight, quit smoking, exercise regularly and improve your lifestyle such as healthy diet and good and enough sleeping, it is no longer a secret that having less or over sleeping can cause bad effect.
