While most people may describe the image of a woman when they think about osteoporosis, eventually this disease also affects or occurs on men. Although the risk on men is likely less to suffer from osteoporosis than women, men tend to spend expensive cost for medication after suffering osteoporosis that related to a fracture than osteoporosis which occurs on women.
Many risk factors which can be the cause of osteoporosis that can not be changed, such as heredity, race, and body shape (skinny / thin, skeletons and body shape which is thinner / trim have higher risk). Several other osteoporosis risk factors can be changed, such as the amount of alcohol that consumed (fewer is better), smoking habits or not at all.
